ACCESS STATEMENT

Lucas County Arena works diligently to provide easy access to our guests with disabilities. We recognize the needs of persons with disabilities, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and make every effort to comply with both ADA and state accessibility mandates. Purchasing Tickets in Accessible Seating Areas, Visually Impaired or Hearing Impaired Areas

Accessible seating for guest who use wheelchairs and guests with limited mobility are available throughout the arena and based on event configuration. Tickets in the accessible seating areas can be purchased directly through the Lucas County Arena box office.

We ask that ADA Will Call tickets be purchased in the names of those who will use them.

Depending upon time of purchase, tickets can either be mailed or, if close to the event date, picked up upon arrival at the box office window, located just to the right inside the Jefferson Avenue entrance.

Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive listening devices are available at no charge from Guest Services. They are provided at no charge but a driver’s license will be required as a deposit.

Interpreting Services

Interpreting services can be provided by the arena with a minimum of 3 weeks notice. Patrons needing interpreting services should contact the Lucas County Arena box office at 419-321-5007.

Service Animals

Service animals for guests with disabilities are welcome. Please contact the Lucas County Arena box office if any accommodations are required at 419-321-5007.

What are the options for parking? Will the surrounding garages accept vans?

The arena is surrounded by a number of parking options. All provide accessible routes to the arena. As with all covered garages, there are height restrictions. They are as follows:

Port Lawrence Garage (entrance located on St. Clair, connects to Arena via enclosed skywalk) has a height limit of 7’0”.

Superior Garage (with entrances located on both Superior and St. Clair between Madison and Adams, connects to Arena via a short walk through Art Tatum Memorial Plaza) has a height limit of 7’3”.

Seagate Garage (entrance located on Summit between Monroe Street and Jefferson Avenue, connects to Arena via enclosed skywalk) has a height limit of 7’6”.

There are many more parking options, mostly open lots, with accessible paths of travel to the Arena’s ground level entrances. Please check our parking page.

Entering Lucas County Arena

All of Lucas County Arena’s entrances are accessible. The primary entrance (Southwest entrance) is located on the corner of Huron and Jefferson. There are also additional entrances: the Team Store entrance (located on Jefferson, just east of the main entrance) and our rear entrance (by the Art Tatum memorial) located by Superior and Madison.

Elevators

There are several accessible public elevators located throughout Lucas County Arena.

Concession Stands

There are a total of 10 concession stands, all accessible. If assistance is needed at any of our concession stands please notify the nearest staff member.

Restrooms

All public restrooms are designed to be accessible to our guests with disabilities. There are 13 women’s restrooms, 9 men’s restrooms and 3 Family restrooms throughout the arena.

Drinking Fountains

We have accessible drinking fountains all throughout the Lucas County Arena for those with disabilities.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited inside the Lucas County Arena.
